Research notes
Competitive teams belong to the student Gaming Club at Carolina (Carolina Esports Club). The university provides the Carolina Gaming Arena in Craige Residence Hall, opened June 2021 and run by Carolina Housing and ITS ResNET, but does not run the teams. The titles in g are the ones the official club page bolds as competitive (it also lists Melee). NACE StarLeague comes from an earlier version of the official Carolina Esports page, now removed. College VALORANT 2025 results and a spring 2026 PlayVS CS2 match come from third parties (The Spike, Northwood recap); CS2 is left out of g pending confirmation.
