Research notes
Varsity team housed in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Ahman Green was hired as full-time coach/director in 2023, and Ryan Tan is listed as Director of Esports. The scholarship count comes from Nebraska Today (Aug 2023, '10 new scholarships') and Nebraska News Service (Apr 2024, 'up to 10 partial scholarships'). No official page gives amounts. Titles were confirmed only through press and social media: Valorant (X post, Nov 2025) and Smash (PEC 2024-25 runner-up, and a Jan 2026 win over Boise State). The roster may include more titles. A Nebraska Union arena was approved in 2023, but as of April 2024 construction hadn't started, so fac is left empty. Club roots go back to 2014 and 2018.
