Research notes
Terps Esports is run by University Recreation & Wellness, with staff (Assistant Director, Esports Programs & Facilities) and premier/academy rosters. It is not part of athletics. Since 2022 is inferred: a Feb 2023 Terp magazine article says the official program 'booted up' that academic year, with NACE as its league then. The current page lists VALORANT (co-ed and Game Changers), LoL, Rocket League and Overwatch. Fortnite was listed in 2023 but not now. In 2023 the magazine said scholarships were 'still a work in progress'. Nothing current has been published. RecWell calls its premier teams 'B1G10 competitive', so BEC is inferred.
