Research notes
Penn State Esports (Club Esports) is a student organization, started in summer 2011 as a League of Legends group (per its own profile). Titles come from a Sept 2023 Daily Collegian article (press): Overwatch, Valorant and Rocket League divisions. 2025-26 teams are unconfirmed. No conference confirmed: Penn State was not among the 14 BEC schools named by CSMG in 2024, and a third-party bracket shows a Penn State Valorant team in a 2025 Mid-Atlantic Esports Conference event. The source URL covers the Campus Rec Esports Center (Aug 2023), which the club uses; no official page for the club itself was found. Varsity esports exists only at branch campuses (Behrend, Beaver), which are separate IPEDS units. Logo is a non-free en.wikipedia file, not on Commons.
