Research notes
Esports LSU is an official UREC club sport and student organization; UREC's sport-club roster lists 'Competitive Esports'. 2016 start date is from an LSU news release. Current titles are not listed officially: Smash is inferred from a Smash Bros coordinator officer role, and League of Legends from third-party (Sheep Esports) match results. Older titles (Rocket League, CS:GO, Valorant) are unconfirmed for 2025-26. LSU said in 2017 it offers no esports scholarships. UREC has a general Esports Area. Not LSU Shreveport, which is separate.
