Research notes
Eagle Esports is a student-led organization (it has a student president and no named coach) based in the Virtual Collaboration Center under Student Life. A 2022 university magazine article says the Call of Duty group was founded in 2018 and became an official club sport in 2021. Georgia Southern joined NACE in 2017 planning varsity teams, but no current varsity program was found. Official page marks only R6 Siege and Call of Duty as [Active]; it also lists LoL, Marvel Rivals, RL, OW, Valorant and Smash without a status. No current league is named.
