Description

Google Scholar searches across a wide range of scholarly literature from around the world, including journals, books, theses, dissertations, conference papers, preprints, and technical reports. Sources include academic publishers, professional societies, university repositories, and other scholarly websites. New publications are continually being added to Google Scholar.

Google Scholar is free for anyone to search, but only current Rutgers University affiliates can use “Get it @ R” links to access restricted resources.

Google Scholar is a searchable database of academic/scholarly literature.  Using the familiar Google search box, you can search for materials across many disciplines and discover many types of sources, including and especially articles, books, and theses.  Google Scholar is a very useful search engine for locating specifically academic articles for your writing assignments.

Start from the RU libraries website: http://libraries.rutgers.edu

  • Under Resources on the left, click on Databases
  • Scroll down to By Title and click G
  • In the Gs, click Google Scholar
