TotalEnergies Startupper of the Year Challenge 2024 (Edition 4) for Africans – The Startupper of the year Challenge by TotalEnergies is back in 32 African countries for a special edition celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Company!

The aim of this 4th edition is to support and encourage young African entrepreneurs to innovate and bring their projects to reality in their country of application.

• Are you owning a startup less than 3 years old or pioneering with a business idea to develop? If so, the challenge is for you!
• All business creation project holders and owners of startups under 3 years old with a positive impact on their communities and/or the planet can participate!
• The challenge is open to young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35.
• The call for projects is open from April, 30 to June, 18!

Who can participate?

• You must be between 18 and 35 years old (born between May 1, 1988 and April 30, 2006)
• You must be a resident of the country where you apply

You must have:

A STARTUP
Under 3 years old with a registration in the application country no earlier than April 30, 2020.

A BUSINESS IDEA
Which could be developed a few months after the challenge.

• Become one of the 100 Startuppers of the year by TotalEnergies, rewarded among one of our category.
• 1 Winner per category will be rewarded in each participating country
• 4 additional Winners will be selected by an international jury in the Power’Up category.

• To reward the best entrepreneurs, should they own a startup of less than three years or come with a mature business idea.
• To reward startup or business ideas exemplifying the principle of circular economy.
• To reward startups or business ideas which aim to promote, create, produce or use sustainable and affordable energies.

In 2015, the United Nations and its Member States adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which forge a reference framework for 2030 to address the global challenges of poverty, environmental protection, peace and prosperity.

TotalEnergies committed in 2016 to help achieve the SDGs and to structure its responsible development approach and make a significant contribution to this collective effort. Thus, aware of the importance of these issues, your project or startup should meet one or more of these objectives.
