Sociological Review Fellowship 2024-25 for Early Career Scholar

Sociological Review Fellowship 2024-25 for Early Career Scholar – Applications are now open for the 2024-25 Sociological Review Fellowship, a one-year fixed-term appointment based at Keele University.

It is intended to support an early career scholar to undertake the work necessary to convert PhD research into publications, ordinarily a first book-length monograph.

The 2024-25 Sociological Review Fellow will be the 19th scholar to receive the award since its establishment in 1998.

The Fellowship is a key component of the Sociological Review Foundation’s longstanding commitment to assisting in the development of early career researchers in a challenging climate for scholars in higher education in the UK.

The successful applicant will have completed a PhD in sociology, social anthropology or a cognate discipline within the past 24 months. The scholar named to the Fellowship will be able to demonstrate the ability to write for publication by having had at least one piece of work from his or her PhD research published or accepted for publication.

The closing date for applications is 10 May, with a shortlisting date of 28 May. Interviews will be held on 21 June.
