This conference aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and enthusiasts from academia and industry to explore the latest advancements, challenges, and applications in AI.

There are two focus areas for presentations and research that we are particularly interested in:

1. AI Attack Space (Standard, 30-minute talk):

We seek presentations that delve into the intricacies of exploiting and defending against the vulnerabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI (genAI) solutions. Specifically, we invite submissions that explore the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by attackers to compromise LLMs and genAI models and the countermeasures and defensive strategies organizations can employ to mitigate these risks. We are interested in presentations that provide actionable insights on building and deploying internal or third-party LLMs and genAI solutions securely, including implementing robust access controls, data encryption, and anomaly detection mechanisms. Additionally, we encourage submissions that examine the potential attack vectors and exploitation techniques used by malicious actors to compromise LLMs and genAI models and the techniques used by defenders to detect, prevent, and respond to these threats. By exploring the intersection of LLMs and genAI with cybersecurity, we aim to provide a deeper understanding of the risks and challenges associated with these technologies and to identify effective strategies for securing them.

2. Cybersecurity Enhanced AI Capabilities (Lightning, 15-minute talk):

Focusing on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques to enhance cybersecurity-related job roles. The summit aims to showcase innovative and practical approaches to incorporating AI and ML into daily cybersecurity tasks, making them more efficient, accurate, and effective.

We are seeking presentations that demonstrate the application of AI and ML in the following areas:

  • Penetration Testing and Offensive Operations: How AI-powered tools and techniques can improve the efficiency and accuracy of penetration testing, including vulnerability scanning, exploitation, and post-exploitation activities.
  • Digital Forensics: How AI and ML can enhance digital forensics, including data analysis, incident response, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Incident Response: How AI-powered tools and techniques can streamline incident response, including threat detection, containment, and eradication.
  • Cyber Defense: How AI and ML can improve cybersecurity and cloud defenses, including threat intelligence, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics.

Presentation Guidelines:

  • Presentations should focus on AI attack space or practical applications of AI and ML in cybersecurity, highlighting real-world examples and case studies.
  • Proposals should include a clear title, abstract, and brief presentation overview.
  • Presenters are encouraged to include interactive elements, such as live demos or step-by-step descriptions of capabilities

Desired Outcomes:

  • Showcase innovative applications of AI and ML in cybersecurity.
  • Highlight practical techniques and tools for incorporating AI and ML into daily cybersecurity tasks.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among cybersecurity professionals.
  • Provide actionable insights and takeaways for attendees to improve their own cybersecurity practices.

Submission Requirements:

A brief abstract (150-200 words) outlining the presentation topic, objectives, and expected outcomes.

A detailed presentation outline (1-2 pages) highlighting the key points, examples, and takeaways.

A brief bio (1-2 paragraphs) highlighting the presenter’s expertise and relevant experience in cybersecurity and AI/ML.

The  SANS AI Summit aims to bring together cybersecurity professionals, AI/ML experts, and thought leaders to share knowledge, showcase innovative applications, and drive the adoption of AI-powered cybersecurity solutions. We look forward to receiving your presentation proposal and exploring the exciting possibilities of AI in cybersecurity.
